The society is named in honour of eminent Physics teacher and scientist late Prof. Yash pal, who was a pioneer in popularising science among the masses of India. A committee of 10 students, who are selected from all three classes of B.Sc, is formed every-year. This committee leads the organization of various activities.
Mission
The society is constituted to help students transform themselves into contributing members of professional community.
Traditional course work develops only a range of skills. Other skills needed to flourish professionally include effective communication and leadership experience. YAPS through its members and leadership undertakes initiatives to instill such values among the students.
