Program Specific Outcomes

After completing this course students have a chance to get job in banking, insurance sector with distinct advantage of having specialization in subjects of Finance, Marketing and Accounting.

CO1:Fundamentals of Financial Accounting

At the end students will learn to prepare Balance Sheet, Bank Reconciliation statement, Depreciation Accounting. They will understand the whole accounting process and preparation of accounts for partnership concerns, non trading concerns, hospitals and educational institutions.After studying this course students will be able to prepare higher purchase accounts. They will study branch accounting including foreign branches and departmental accounting.

CO2.Business Laws

Students will be well versed with the law of contract, sale of goods act and patents act which is widely used by business organizations. The students will be aware of various rights and duties followed by business.After completion of the course students will be able to understand the mechanism of negotiable instrument act. They will also be aware of the right to information act and consumer protection act which is used in day today activities

CO3.BANKING OPERATIONS AND PROCEDURES:

This course will help the students to know about functions of banks, services rendered by banks, dishonor of a cheque, bankers rights and types of bank accounts, they will also understand about the type of bank customers, services provided by commercial banks, different laws relating to banking and anti- money laundering.

CO4:CORPORATE ACCOUNTING:

Students will learn about issue, forfeiture of shares, redemption of preference share, underwriting of shares and debentures. they will also understand about final accounts of companies.They will understand external and internal reconstruction by studying mergers, amalgamation, their benefits, accounting treatment etc. also how companies can be liquidated?They will understand investment, goodwill and share valuation.

CO5:INCOME TAX LAWS:

Students will learn about the distinction between revenue and capital  exempted incomes, computation of income under various heads as salaries, agriculture, house property, business etc. They will also be aware about carry forward, set off of losses and clubbing provisions. They will learn computation of total income of an individual, HUF, Firm and companies, it will also help them to learn about TDS, advance payment of tax, refund and penalties.

CO6.BUSINESS STATISTICS:

Students will learn about importance, limitations and functions of statistics. They will also learn about measures of central tendency, Time Series, Index numbers, CORRELATION, Regression and forecasting methods.

CO7. FUNDAMETALS OF INSURANCE:

After completing this course the students will learn about purpose and need of insurance, insurance and economic development, insurable risk, nature and legal aspects of insurance contracts, different types of insurance, they will also learn about the growth and development of insurance sector. ULIP Plans, classification of products and regulatory framework of insurance.

CO8: AUDITING PRACTICES:

Students will learn about the objectives and classes of Audit, internal check and internal audit, standard auditing practices, company audit,they will also learn about auding in computerised environment.

CO9.INDIAN ECONOMY:

After the completion of this course students will learn about Indian economy, various components as national income, employment, capital formation, human resources management and agriculture in Indian economy. They will also understand about the industry, foreign trade and economic planning.

CO10.FUNDAMENTALS OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP

After completion of this course students will learn about scope, functions and significance of Entrepreneurship. They will also learn about entrepreneurial theories, entrepreneurship development, MSMEs, Entrepreneurial sustainability.

CO11.E- COMMERCE

This course will help the students to know about Internet and E-commerce. The importance and management issues related to e-commerce. The nature, scope and working of different types of e-commerce models. They will specifically learn about e-shopping, e-financial activities. Detailed working of B2B & E- Governance.

CO12.FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

After completion of this course students will learn about the meaning, objectives, functions and significance of financial management. Further students will learn about Cost of capital, capital structure, Capitalization along with working capital management.

CO13.FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS AND MARKETS

This course will help the students to know about the Indian financial system, RBI, SEBI, IRDA and Ministry of Corporate Affairs. Further students learn about various types of financial institutions viz mutual funds, NBFCs, DFIs, Cooperative Banks.They will specifically learn about Indian money markets, instruments and constitutes.

CO14.CORPORATE GOVERNANCE AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY OF BUSINESS

After completion of this course students will learn about the concept, objectives, mechanism and significance of corporate governance. Role of Regulators, directors and shareholders.Further students will learn about the global prospective of corporate governance. Corporate social responsibility of business and government role.

CO15.PRODUCTION AND OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT

This course will help the students to know about the nature, scope and significance of production management along with it’s relation with other corporate functions. They will specifically learn about material management and production control. The students will also learn about Quality and Productivity Management.
